Clydesdale MSP Aileen Campbell has today welcomed the announcement from the Big Lottery Fund that five projects in Clydesdale have secured funding totalling ?40,414.

The Big Lottery Fund is investing in Scotland’s communities through its Investing in Communities portfolio as well as the small grants schemes Awards for All, Investing in Ideas and 2014 Communities.

Recipients include: the Biggar Theatre Workshop, Carstairs Junction Community Association, Robert Owen Primary School, Friends of Victoria Park School, and West Kype Riders Club in Strathaven.

Ms Campbell said:
"I was delighted to hear that five projects in Clydesdale have received funding totalling over?40,000.

"These awards make such a huge difference to the groups and I am delighted that they have been successful. This is a real boost for these groups and will often benefit the wider communities and this is particularly welcome.
