Aileen Campbell, SNP MSP for South of Scotland, and Clydesdale North SNP Councillor George Sutherland, joined volunteers from Clydesdale Community Initiatives (CCI) and the wider community, to help ‘spruce up’ Lanark’s Sensory Garden on Saturday 6th November.

The event, advertised as a 'Wee Fire and Buns Gardening Get Together', was aimed at improving the appearance of the Sensory Garden. Sensory gardens are designed to be as accessible as possible to people of all abilities.

Commenting, Aileen Campbell MSP said:

"It was great to see so many people turning out to help at the Sensory Garden, especially given the particularly dreich weather on Saturday.

"Lanark’s Sensory Garden has been very popular since it opened, and CCI did a great job of encouraging folk to come along an help out.

"I enjoyed putting on my wellies, rolling up my sleeves and joining in with the other volunteers - keeping gardens well maintained is good exercise as well good for the environment"
