Aileen Campbell, SNP MSP for South of Scotland, welcomed the Lesmahagow Old Parish Young Women’s Group to the Scottish Parliament this week for a tour of the building and to watch First Minister’s Questions.

The group had the chance to learn more about the parliament and the daily work of a MSP, as well as seeing the First Minister, Alex Salmond take questions from the other party leaders and MSPs.

Speaking in the Scottish Parliament, Aileen Campbell MSP said:

"I was delighted to welcome the Lesmahagow Old Parish Young Women’s Group to the parliament. I’ve spoken at the group’s meeting before and it was great to be able to show them around the building, and explain and how it operates on a day to day basis.

"The Parliament is designed to be open and accessible as possible, and I’m always happy to help arrange visits for South of Scotland residents.

"Anyone interested can contact my office on 0131 348 6708 or the Parliament’s visitor services directly on 0131 348 5200."
