SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES CONSULTATION ON SOCIAL SECURITY
Aileen Campbell, SNP MSP for Clydesdale has today invited Clydesdale residents to take part in the Scottish Government’s consultation on the future of social security in Scotland.
The consultation marks an important stage in the journey to the delivery of a new social security system in Scotland. The consultation will start today and last until Friday, 28 October. It will focus on some of the policy, delivery and cross cutting policy issues that will inform the first Scottish social security bill that will go forward before the end of the Parliamentary term.
Commenting Ms Campbell said:
“I am delighted that the Scottish Government is fully committed to ensuring that all those with an interest will have the opportunity to take part in this consultation.
“I hope to hear many Clydesdale voices in the consultation as we look to build a social security system which focuses on the principles that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, and help us create the kind of society we want our children to grow up in.”
